Our Curriculum

Our educational program is designed to cultivate knowledge and skills in our students. We offer a variety of GCSE courses, including English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Biology, and Physical Education (PE). Mathematics follows the Pearson Edexcel exam board, while the other subjects adhere to the AQA exam board.

Beyond these core subjects, we deliver life skills education twice a week, focusing on areas such as PSHE (including RSE), Humanities, Creative Arts, Cookery, Careers (including Post-16 pathways), and reading. These components align with two of the five key priorities outlined in our school improvement plan. To highlight the importance of numeracy and literacy, students receive 3 to 4 weekly lessons in English and Mathematics. Additionally, the timetable includes 3 Biology lessons, 2 PE theory sessions alongside 1 practical session promoting healthy living, and 2 Religious Studies classes.

We are also exploring the potential introduction of Health and Social Care to our curriculum, further broadening the opportunities available to students in developing essential skills for both personal growth and future career paths.

Our schedules are designed to be flexible, allowing for adjustments to address timely or group-specific needs, ensuring discussions remain relevant and impactful.
